TERRACE BAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2016 – AV Terrace Bay Inc. (AVTB)

AV Terrace Bay is proud to once again be the Major Sponsor of Moosecalac 2016. The Moosecalac
Winter Carnival and the 22nd edition of the Moosecalac Hockey Tournament starts this weekend.
Events include a series of minor hockey games on Thursday night and school dance at Marjorie
Mills Elementary School. Thursday night featured Game One of the “Battle of the Sinking Ships”.
Players donned their Montreal and Toronto jerseys once again. Unconfirmed this weekend is the
attendance of celebrity hockey players from Toronto that might suit up on Saturday night. Check out for a complete listing of games and activities.

Back by popular demand this year are several annual Moosecalac events. The Cross Country Ski Club
will be hosting a “Moonlight Ski” on Friday night from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Hot Chocolate and snacks
will be available at the Chalet after the ski. Also on Friday at the Pavois Culturel is a traditional French
Canadian Supper sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella. Saturday will feature the Annual Pancake
and Sausage Breakfast at the Seniors Club and the Junior Curling Bonspiel. A slight change this year
will see the Longlac Snowmobile Club Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday night at the Curling Club. Food,
children’s activities and family fun all weekend.

The event is all for charity and funds raised go to support Sick Children and local children’s activities
in Greenstone. The Moosecalac Committee also contributes to the Minor Hockey associations,
curling clubs, and many other programs.

Last year the Moosecalac raised over $20,000, to add to the grand total of over $250,000 over the last
eleven years.
